How automation can help organizations comply with CERT-In Directions 2022
On April 28, 2022, The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) issued new directions that impose strict requirements on cybersecurity teams. What stands out the most is the requirement for organizations to provide reports on cybersecurity incidents within the tight time frame of six hours from incident detection. Tightening the screw further, CERT-In announced that the new rules would become effective 60 days after the issue date, meaning June 27, 2022.
The new rules put additional pressure and workload on already stretched cybersecurity teams. Compliance with CERT-In's directions entails extensive adjustments in a relatively short period, which raises the question: How can cybersecurity teams respond to this challenge and meet the new compliance demands, especially considering the acute shortage of cybersecurity professionals (measured in millions) and skills?
The answer may well be Security Incident Management , Orchestration , Response and Automation which easily enables data to be retained in-country for 180 days or more.
Join us on Thursday, July 28, as Payal Sampat, Assistant Vice President - Strategy & Initiative for Next-Gen CSOC at HDFC Bank and Dario Forte, VP and General Manager of Orchestration and Automation at Sumo Logic, discuss how automation is helping cybersecurity professionals address the challenges CERT-In's directions pose for SOCs.
